Alma Madrigal
Alma is the matriarch of the Madrigals. She is also the town leader. Her family was blessed with magic when their babies were born, and Alma is responsible for taking care of the magic that the Madrigals have.
Alma is a kind person, and she is not afraid of the power of magic. Her power can be dangerous, though, so she is careful. Alma and her daughters were left in the mountains when they were young, and they survived a violent invasion.
Alma is not the only magical character in Encanto. Pepa and Felix have magical powers that are related to emotions and weather. They are parents to three children: Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio.
Throughout the film, Alma’s family tries to adjust to their new lives. Alma makes amends with Mirabel and fixes a few of the mistakes of her past.
Bruno Madrigal

Aside from his powers of precognition, Bruno also has the ability to see into the future. Although he is the only male child in his family, he has no children of his own. Instead, he hides away in the walls of the house. The community considers him a black sheep, and he is ostracized.
However, he is deeply concerned for the well-being of his family, and he tries to defend his niece Mirabel. As a result, Bruno is an anxious and shy man. Despite his lack of control over his power, he has developed a ritual to use it.
Dolores
Dolores is one of the more interesting characters in Encanto. She is not just a pretty face, but she also has a secret. This secret is her hearing, and she uses it to her advantage.
How Old is Mirabel in Encanto, Dolores is the older of two siblings. Her younger brother is Camilo Madrigal. His sister is Isabela, who is older than her. They are cousins, and they are close. Their relationship is complicated.

Mistreatment by Abuela

Abuela Alma’s character is a key point of conflict in the movie. Her determination to keep her family safe is manifested as cruelty towards Mirabel. As a young woman, she suffered a traumatic loss. She was unable to control the death of her husband.
This experience led Abuela to begin to value other family members over herself. She feared losing her home again, so she sought to be the perfect figurehead for her family. However, she didn’t acknowledge her hunger for power.
In spite of her strong character, Abuela is one of the least discussed characters in the movie. Although she isn’t a bad person, she has a negative influence on the rest of the family.
